Ganga Ram Hospital inaugurated Vocational Training – Beauty Culture
Unit for the girls of Bawana resettlement colony. Girls are learning
the basic beauty tips and latest methods of beauty.
Rural entering into Panchayati Raj
Training Programme with the help of Aashiana Housing and Finance
(India) Ltd
Panchayati Raj training programme
commenced from January’07 onwards for elected women representatives
with the support of Aashiana Housing and Finance (India) Ltd (AHFIL).
A total of 18 women on an average attended the workshop every month
from nearby 13 villages.
Computer Literacy Adds to the fervor
of Bawana Projects
Habitat Learning Center of the India
Habitat Center (IHC) instated a Computer Learning Center at Bawana
for assisting young girls and boys of Bawana resettlement colony.
Three batches are running at present benefiting 25 children
directly.
Empowering women through Adult
Education
Godfrey Philips India Pvt Ltd (GPI)
came forward for supporting Adult Education for women of Bawana
resettlement colony. It would be supporting functioning of nine
adult education centers catering to around 120 children.
HSBC sponsoring libraries for
children
HSBC would be supporting the
functioning of five libraries in Bawana and three in Holambi Kalan
with an aim to build interest of children towards studies and for
the overall language development of children.
Supplementary Education for
Underprivileged children at Holambi Kalan by UTI (United Bank of
India)
The Project Primary Remedial Education
seeking SUPPLEMENTARY EDUCATION FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN
supported by UNITED BANK OF INDIA (UTI) commenced in the month of
Jun’06. The Project is catering to around 314 children (142 Boys and
172 Girls) of classes 3rd to 5th.
Halcrow Foundation Ltd Helping Women
to scale new heights under Women Empowerment Programme
Halcrow Foundation is funding the
administration cost of Navjyoti’s Women Empowerment Programme at the
Rural Development Centre at Khedla Village for a period of twelve
months.
GAIL strengthening the partnership
further
GAIL under its CSR programme has
continued its support for vocational training programmes of Women
Empowerment Project at Jahangirpuri resettlement colony and would be
garnering the support for vocational training programmes at Holambi
Kalan for the year 2007-08.
Community and School Based Primary
Prevention work under Project G- 86 by UNODC
The Project seeks to identify 1000
students of ten schools and hundred community members covered under
this project.
Awareness Programme for Female
Partners of Drug Users under Project I-49 by UNODC
The project proposes to identify
female partner of Drug Users under this project and aims to provide
them a kind of emotional and financial assistance by making their
Self Help Groups.
Sesame Workshop India Facilitated
programme of Galli Galli Sim
By implementing the programme at
Navjyoti and added more quality to the functioning of Balwari by
giving TV aided episodes on health & general awareness and Literacy.
A movable bioscope for the children of Gali Schools added further
charm to it. Children also made the set visit to film city Noida and
met the characters of Chamki, Googley, Boombah and Aanchoo.
Tying up Health Care Interventions of
Navjyoti with IPP VIII Health Center of MCD at Bawana
with an aim to widen the range of
services, complementing the resources with each other and to improve
the health status of the community by providing healthcare services
and education with special emphasis on women and child welfare.
General OPD, health monitoring of school children and DOTS center
are functioning and Immunization and family planning is the plan for
future months. The govt has agreed to increase the number of working
hours of the dispensary and Navjyoti would also operate from the
dispensary that would enable to keep a watch on the efficacy of
services being provided by the state.
