The Project seeks to empower about 250 women in the Jahangirpuri Resettlement Colony so as to equip them with skills required to bring about a positive change in the quality of their life as well as that of their families and the community. They are oriented to make saving a habit and bank accounts are opened for them. They are also trained in book keeping and accounting to handle their day to day functioning of these groups. Training sessions of other aspects of self help groups, women welfare are also organized from time to time. Other activities for these groups include Capacity building on education, health and other issues of relevance to enable them to advocate for their cause at the micro level, sensitizing women about their constitutional, property and other legal rights and promoting literacy.
