With the aim of providing quality education, it has been envisioned that a school will be built to reach out to children living in Bawana Resettlement Colony. The school will tap children at the very age of 3 and would take them through till class 12.

The school though would run for under privileged children but efforts would be directed to provide what it takes to make education holistic and meaningful. It would not only provide relevant education to children as per their learning levels and age, but would also expose them to all kinds of extracurricular activities such as sports, theatre, art, music, exposure, library health checkups etc. Trained and qualified teachers would be imparted to achieve the objectives.

The school project would be divided in three phases:

1. Buying of land

2. Construction of primary school

3. Construction of secondary school.

It is planned to cover the I phase by March 2010, II phase by 2012 and third phase by 2020.

After the purchase of land in the first phase, all the 3000 children that are being presently reached out in Bawana through gali schools, Balwaris, learning centres and remedial education centres ( currently spread all over the community in spaces provided by the community members) to Navjyoti School. Initially, classes will be run in temporary structures while the construction will be on.
