RURAL GOVERNANCE:
AIM
To strengthen Panchayati Raj System to provide service delivery
to the local community through capacity building and trainings
OBJECTIVES
- To offer need based trainings to various stakeholders
in Panchayati Raj Institution
- To equip stakeholders with
a perspective and clarity regarding their roles and
responsibilities and capacitate them to elicit their
meaningful participation
- To network and liaison with various allied agencies and government
departments at Block and District level
- To monitor,
measure and track the outcomes of the training workshops and
share experiences
ACTIVITIES
- Regular trainings are conducted for Panchayati Raj
representatives on the following topics:
- Haryana Panchayati Raj Act
- Roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders

- Participatory planning
- Empowerment

Communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Gender issues

Stress management
- Social audit
- Right to Information
- Community needs are identified and advocated at various
platforms
- Linkages are established at Block and District level
- Regular follow ups of trainings and workshops are conducted
