The patient is motivated to undergo treatment in this phase through OPD. Here the patient is made to attend certain disciplinary programmes through which he is mentally prepared for quitting drugs by reviewing experiences and recognizing the damage and distress that drug use has caused. The patient is required to visit OPD daily for 1-20 days from 9am to 5pm depending on his ability and readiness for undergoing treatment. After the registration of the patient, he is first screened for any other major illness requiring specialized treatment. His nature of addition is assessed to plan intervention Programme accordingly. Besides, the patients and their family members are also provided with general rules and regulations of the Programme.

Activities in OPD Include:

  Admission of New Patients.
     - Screening of the patient.
     - To assess the problems in related to addiction.
     - Motivate the addict to participate actively in the treatment
  To run as day care centre for new & after care group patients.
  Follow-up of Patients.
