Urban - Night Schools »

For some life is a bed of roses. Everything is provided for them. They do not have to strive extra hard. For some existence does not come easy. It has nothing to do with age. For some children as young as 10 years life is all about work and a day's survival. It is for these young minds who toil through the day and have the willingness to work for a better life that the Night Schools were set up in 2001 at Yamuna Pushta. These schools functioned till the demolition work started there in the year 2004. In the year 2007, they were revived at the resettlement colonies at Bawana. At present 15 centers are helping 175 in making their life better. Every day students study from 8 pm to 10 pm. They are trained to take examinations under the National Open School scheme. The nutritional requirements of the students are also taken care of so that they can perform better in academics.

We at Navjyoti India Foundation salute the strong determination & courage of these students who fight all their odds in hopes of a better tomorrow.

Every day while we help these students with their studies, they motivate us to keep going. It is the determination in the eyes of these students that make our job very fulfilling. Just as much we have added to their lives, they have contributed in our success. They are truly the most admired and loved lot of the Navjyoti Family.
