A Gali School - a school being operated in the by lanes with minimum infrastructure catering to a population of over 2000 children. What this means is that a child between the ages of 4 - 6 years can be educated at his doorstep. He does not have to walk for miles together to attend school. It means that the chances of a girl child to get educated are higher now. It means time being put to good use.

We are the second most populous nation in the world and also this majority constitutes the young Indians. Illiteracy, which is the mother of many evils like poverty, malnutrition, unemployment, social unrest, inequality are all very high. In a situation like this, it becomes imperative to educate the masses. What better than starting at an age when learning leaves a strong impact on the mind?

However, resources are a problem especially when catering to an army of 1 million young minds. As such the concept of Gali schools is apt. We have been running these schools in over 75 by lanes in the resettlement Colonies of Delhi at Holambi Kalan and Bawana area enrolling more than 2000 children.
