Targeted at students in the age group of 3-4 yrs, Navjyoti Balwaris play the role of a loving and caring guardian making childhood a joyful experience for children in an otherwise hard life. The aim is to ensure children's right to survival, protection and development through early child care and development services. Full day care is provided. Colourful classrooms, teaching aids, use of techniques that enable children to learn by doing make balwaris a fun filled learning experience.

The "pre-schoolers" are engaged in the process of learning through play, music, drama, puppets, stories and songs. This along with group play-activity enhances their cognitive, social/emotional as well as physical/motor development, which prepare them for school in more ways than one. Toys appropriate for this age group and attractive teaching aids help them to "play and learn".
